When my older daughter was born, we were recommended to Lizzie's Daycare run by Elizabeth Ligsay in San Jose, CA. One of the first things to catch my eye when we visited her home were the two glass cabinets filled with beautifully carved eggs!!! I had done oil painting, watercolors, sewing, cross-stitch and what not, but EggArt struck me as a medium which could be adapted for any style and skill!

I was immediately intrigued, but it was another 8 years before I made my first egg with Liz! In 2007, my 2 daughters, then 8 and 5yrs spent their summer with Liz and made little finch and goose ornament eggs with her. Their enthusiasm and fascination convinced me to invest into a Power Carver and all the other 'never enough' egging supplies and since then we have made many little exquisite creations ourselves!

Living in the Bay Area of California, the only people I know are Software Engineers like myself and I am a little geographically out from the Northern and Southern California Egg Guilds. So, being a member of IEAG has been our view into this little world and I am very thankful to be a part of this amazing and talented group of unique artists !!!
