Design of the Month Manager
Linda Asbell
Linda is married to Frank and they have a
daughter, Summer Victoria. Linda and her family are a foster family for
babies that have life-threatening illnesses or conditions. Currently they are
caring for two foster children. Linda appreciates the support she has
received from other eggers over the years for their foster children through
their thoughts and prayers. Their family also includes a Chinese pug and
birds.
Linda learned egging through her mother, Beverly
Gaus. Thirteen years ago she began her first egging experience by beading
a kaleidoscope and before she was completed with it she was hooked on
beading. Periodically she tries other categories but always goes back to
beading or carving. Linda has been very dedicated to the egging world by
helping with Kaleidoscopes EGGsetera and then The Eggery Place. She has
served as both President and Vice President of the Texas Guild of Eggshell
Artists, and a charter member as both President and Vice President for the
Eggshell Artists of North Texas. Linda believes in the Master's Program and
believes it is an invaluable source of experience for honing in egging skills
and encouraging others to try new and very different decorating styles.
